Draughtsperson – Substation (MEP)

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Draughtsperson with expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for substations. The successful candidate will be responsible for detailed mechanical drafting and coordination with other engineering disciplines to ensure high-quality project delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with design engineers to receive and interpret design inputs.
• Produce detailed drawings for mechanical components of substations, including module cleaning systems and ventilation duct routing.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Prepare checklists for drawing reviews and participate in the review process to incorporate necessary modifications.
• Liaise with site teams to update drawings based on real-time feedback.
• Develop Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and material design inputs as needed for project execution.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in detailing mechanical works, particularly in industries such as solar power, oil and gas, fertilizers, or refineries.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling and Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of P&ID and basic piping and duct routing knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings effectively.

Technical Expertise:

• Expertise in creating detailed MEP drawings and documentation.
• Experience with mechanical systems in substations or similar industrial settings.
